almost certainly not happening. The Aussies aren't hamstrung by the EU and don't have to let in people who can't support themselves.

you need a job, money and prospects before you can even begin to apply for a visa. Might be an idea to start by getting more cash off your sperm donors.
References :
IF you are able to get residency, then you would be entitled to Family Tax benefit for your children, and a small amount of rent assistance. These benefits are payable immediately. Any other benefits have waiting periods between 2 and 10 years.

Waiting lists for "council housing" are pretty long, quite a few years in most places.

Many costs that you currently do not pay for would hit you hard in Australia. Prescriptions for children are not free. You may also have to pay for doctors appointments, even for the children, and Dentists fees are not cheap either. No NHS dental service here.

Overall, my guess is that you would be heading back to the security of the UK social services (SS) within 6 months.

Getting PR is not easy these days though, and your situation, from what I have read, is not conducive to being accepted. If you do have a way to get it though, you will NEED financial support from your family here.
References :
If you don't have good qualifications, you won't be moving to Australia and that's that. Australia is very selective about the immigrants it accepts and the most basic requirement for them is to have formal qualifications and experience in an occupation in which Australia needs workers. No/low qualifications or wrong occupation = no immigration visa. End of story.

In any case, new immigrants are not eligible for any government income support for 2 years after they arrive in the country and they go to the back of huge waiting lists for government housing with no chance of being able to get the Australian equivalent of a council house in under several years.

Forget it - you won't be coming.
References :
unless your qualified and experienced in an occupation Australia has listed as needing workers (highly skilled workers) you do not have a chance of immigrating
References :
I think you have to work for at least 3 years in Austrailia before you can claim any benefits, ask your family, they should know.
References :
Time for a reality check.

No husband, three kids, no job and little prospects, you would just be a drain on Australia's resources. Your chances of admission is effectively nil. Even if you could get in you would not be entitled to any state benefits. You have to be a legal resident for the qualifying period first. I believe it's 2 years.

Stay put and sponge off of the UK taxpayers.
References :
I would imagine that you will fall very short on the points system.
Other countries are not as soft as here in the UK, they tend to look after their own unlike the UK where if you are born and bred in this country you are way down the list if you ever need help.
References :
On the whole, when you rent you're expected to live in the property; most won't allow sub-letting.

So you could probably (if you could afford to) rent a few properties, but why would you?
References :
You can get some general information, such as median prices in a suburb for free.
If you want a property report you can get it on the realestate.com.au website for a fee.
References :
reareports.realestate.com.au
