Hi and thanks for taking the time to look at our Vids of last Christmas. For the technically minded we run three shows each night. This vid is our animated display which is all LED. Our static display has about 20% incandescent lights and the rest LED, CFL and Solar. Santa’s Grotto is near 100% LED. All up we have 90K+ lights. We run the animated display every half hour except on Santa’s visit nights due to the huge number of people on the property. Safety is always our main concern and to that end our display is hooked up to Residual Currency Devises, cable and most wiring is underground and the garden is safe for all visitors to wonder around and take photos. Just a last word about entertainment, we have Stitches the PMH Bear on a regular basis, each year Joondalup FISA (Fire Brigade) turn up just before Christmas Eve with 2 or 3 Trucks and oh yes we even have a Mobile Coffee Vendor for the addicts. (Mar 22.)Homes have been damaged, power knocked out and hail the size of golf balls has fallen as a sudden storm swept across the Perth metropolitan area.

Dozens of sets of traffic lights have been knocked out by the storm and roads north and south of the city have been flooded.

There are widespread reports of property damage caused by rain, strong winds and hail.

Twenty people had to be evacuated from the emergency department at Joondalup Hospital in Perth’s northern suburbs after parts of the ceiling caved in.

A spokesman for the hospital says there is significant flooding and damage to the ceiling.

The storm’s trail of destruction extends from Joondalup down through the western suburbs and further south to Mandurah.

Myself and another housemate are still occupying the property currently and are paying for the currently vacated room.

We (the remaining tenants) feel that because we are paying for his room(going on 4 months now), his share of the bond should be forfeited as he left without securing another tenant to replace him (in which case the incoming tenant would pay him his share of the bond) which resulted in us footing the rent for his room.

FYI
1)his share of the bond has been signed over to us and Ray White has been notified. He is demanding we return the bond to him but we feel that we should be compensated for the rent we paid on his behalf.
2)We are in Perth, WA.

Well the deposit (or bond) is on the apartment NOT the person so he has no right to it. You all put it down together & just because he decided to leave doesn’t mean that deposit goes anywhere. It stays on the unit until moveout at which point they determine what (if any) will be returned to you. That is up to you & your other roommate to decide if you want to throw him a bone & give him anything back which YOU SHOULDN’T. He has no legal right to it whatsoever. Tell him that when you receive his part of the past 4 month’s rent that you will give him back his portion of the deposit. He probably won’t fight you over that.
