moving from UK to perth, if i do not have a good job to go to, will i receive state benefits?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

I am interested in moving from the UK, England to Perth, Australia. I do not have very good qualifications and am a Single mother with three children. I currently live in a council property. If I were to move to Perth would i receieve any state benefits and in terms of property’s is there such a thing as a somewhat council over there? I have friends and family in perth but none of whom will be able to provide financial support.

If you don’t have good qualifications, you won’t be moving to Australia and that’s that. Australia is very selective about the immigrants it accepts and the most basic requirement for them is to have formal qualifications and experience in an occupation in which Australia needs workers. No/low qualifications or wrong occupation = no immigration visa. End of story.

In any case, new immigrants are not eligible for any government income support for 2 years after they arrive in the country and they go to the back of huge waiting lists for government housing with no chance of being able to get the Australian equivalent of a council house in under several years.

Forget it – you won’t be coming.

how many property can i rent in perth?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

can i rent more than one property in perth?

On the whole, when you rent you’re expected to live in the property; most won’t allow sub-letting.

So you could probably (if you could afford to) rent a few properties, but why would you?

where to obtain last transacted price of property in Perth Australia?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

I need to obtain information on last transacted price over the last 12 months. Is there a website which provides such free service? Or there has to be a fee?

You can get some general information, such as median prices in a suburb for free.
If you want a property report you can get it on the realestate.com.au website for a fee.

Is there a webpage which gives a list of properties’ transacted prices of a particular project in Perth?

I would like to track last transacted of apartments in Hay Street Perth. Is there a webpage which shows last transacted prices over the last 24 months?

Yes you can use a service such as RP Data or Residex which has listings of almost all sales in Australia. If you want to try to get it for free then you might be able to find it by googling the address or looking it up on realestate.com.au

where can i shoot in Western australia?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

can someone tell me where i can shoot in Western australia i need more property preferably it most 2 hours outside of perth thanks…

I am in Vic and over here generally we can shoot in state forests , but there are some exceptions and it is necessary for us to check with DSE …Department of Sustainability and Environment , if we are not sure about a certain forest. Otherwise if a person is a member of the Sporting Shooters Association they have access to private land that allows members to shoot. Click on their link below for more info.

http://www.ssaa.org.au/

The other alternative is to ask other shooters where they shoot or go to the gun shop and ask them.
I suggest that you approach your local DSE office (or whatever you have there) as a first step as our guys put out a neat booklet with lots of shooting info for Vic and your guys might do the same.

What are the benefits in Moving to Perth Australia?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

My friend who is a Consultant OBS and GYNAE is thinking about moving to Perth in Australia
1. Is it better than other places in australia?
2. Are the property prices cheaper?
3.Is it better than living in England?
4.Any additional information?

1. No, its not better, all our capital cities are slightly different from each other. Perth is considered one of our smaller cities, very isolated with a small city surrounded by a large area of suburbs. The best features is it is a very pretty city, situated on the swan river with Kings Park looking over it. We also have wonderful beaches, I think the best in australia, as they go for miles. We don’t have the problems that queensland has with the nasties in the water. The weather is very hot, some say too hot ;) . It is a very layback city, more so than the eastern states, that is one of our charms. One negative is our isolation, it costs a lot to travel elsewhere for holidays.

2. No, Perth’s real estate is expensive, partially because we have some many eastern staters moving here for work.

3. It has some benefits, and some negatives. One thing I loved about england was how quickly you could go somewhere different, even for a weekend, and travel/shows are so cheap in comparison. Some benefits would be the outdoor lifestyle and the quality of housing.

4. The main reason people return to there native country is missing their families. It is really difficult to move, start again so far away from all your friends and family. If something goes wrong, it takes 24 hours to fly to england. If you decide to come you must first consider this. I am not sure if these jobs qualify to migrate here, we have very strict immigration rules and we have a list of jobs that are accepted, all others are rejected unless you come in on another type of visa, eg self funded retiree.

I will supply a few websites below you may want to check

edit: I meant to give you this link, but forgot. Its for english migrants with a lot of advice from people who have already done it.

Which is the best suburb around Perth, to buy a large residential property with around 600 to 800k budget?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

Im looking to buy a countryish property to live in, having less than an 45min drive to Subiaco. Size approximately 1500 to 3000sqm.
Which suburbs suit my requirements?

This is difficult as in Subiaco is quite central and near the coast, so this means you have to go up a long way, quite far to the east to get the bigger blocks, which means more than 45 minutes travel time, or down south, but the traffic would be horrendous in the morning.
So, you will have to decide what is more important to you.
Areas to look at in the country would be Middle Swan, Greenmount, HERNE HILL, Swan View, SOUTH GUILDFORD, GUILDFORD, JANE BROOK, Carmel, Pickering Brook, WATTLE GROVE, GOOSEBERRY HILL, LESMURDIE, Helena Valley,
Nice, but a bit further – nUpper Swan, Bullsbrook, BRIGADOON, The Vines

You can check out what is available with the below website, Beware some of these blocks are closer to our airport, others near midland can be surrounded by not so nice areas.

Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane or Melbourne, where to settle?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

We’re currently living in Perth, WA and are considering our options…we’ve just returned after my being let go from my job in the Pilbara due to safety concerns from management…anyway we are now considering the following things, do we stay in Perth, return to Adelaide which is where me and my partner met, goto Melbourne and settle where I have lived before both as a child and adult or do we go somewhere like Brisbane where neither of us have lived in the past?

Information including current work opportunities and suburbs to consider or avoid for property would be appreciated.

cheers,
Mitch

Any particular reason why you left out Sydney?

If you have been working in the Pilbara I assume your work is mine related. If so, and if you want to stay in the mining industry, I’d say your best bet is to stay in Perth or head to Adelaide as they are both big start points for many mines. Also Brisbane can be a reasonable for some Queensland mining options.

Sydney and Melbourne both have well established commercial centres and are good for many commercial based careers. However Perth is booming still I think and if you are wanting to stick with anything mining stay put. Also most of the east coast cities are quite expensive compared to Perth, despite Perth catching up. Adelaide is the only "cheap" option you have mentioned here.

Your best bet would be to pay a visit to the following websites to get a feel for each city, as far as jobs and porperties are concerned.

Honest cash buyers for my house?

Author: admin  //  Category: perth property

I’m facing financial difficulties and would like to sell my house to pay debts off. I would like to know if there are any reliable cash buyers around Perth, UK who will give me a fair price for my property.

Many people become hesitant to get the services of cash house buyers because their offer is sometimes too good to be true. But once I found out about Cash Buyer (a leading property buyer company in UK), I’ve decided to give it a try. Unlike many of the small-time rogue buyers in the property market, they are respected, national company with a strong local presence.
